Solidarity without Border
This project was born during a covenant retreat in October, 2007 to Orval (Belgium). Véronique and Nelly from the Arche Brussels had the joy of living together this extraordinary moment. In this opportunity, Noah , an Irish little boy 8 years hold shared us his testimony : He found that the world was not very beautiful: there was a war, homeless persons, the others else who starved etc. Then, this small man wondered what he could make to return the better world. He began by collecting money with his family and with his friends. 3 euro of the departure became 3000 euro. With this money he financed the construction of a well in Africa, the plane tickets of 4 assistants of The Arc in Dublin parties to build houses in Central America …He continues to collect some money and to analyze projects of help before financing them. But we also asked us an important question, that to know what each of us was inclined to make there where he lives to return the better world. With Veronique , we thought and we thought that we could contact Robert Laskowiecki, the former assistant of 'La Ruche' in Brussels, which has lived in Uganda. From there was born the idea to sell magnets to finance the purchase of a swing and a tobogan for the children of the foyer. Besides, the collected money also allowed to buy suits for a play for the persons of Robert's foyer. (in Uganda) Véronique and Nelly thank you for your help and hope she can bring their stone to the realization of numerous new projects in Africa. Thanks to Veronique, Nelly and Robert who sent us this article and bravo on this initiative.

ODF is the equivalent of the association of the friends of the Arche in Africa in the region of the Northern Europe.Jane Salmonson represents the association which has its offices in the community from Edinburgh (Scotland). ODF develops exchanges of solidarity with the communities of India, Poland and English-speaking Africa (Kenya, Zimbabwe and Uganda). These countries are members of the common wealth and thus have historic partnership with Great Britain. Poland, being a part of the region ' North Europe ', also benefits from the help of ODF.ODF asked us these last years for a help for Zimbabwe seen the difficulties which knows the country (and in a lesser measure Uganda) .
