L'Arche is deeply concerned with the distress of people who suffer injustice and rejection because they have learning disabilities. This concern should impel the Communities of L'Ar che to do all they can to defend the rights of people with learning disabilities, to support the creation of places of welcome for them, and to call on our society to become more just and respectful towards them. The Communities of L'Arche want to be in solidarity with the poor of the world , and with all those who take part in the struggle for justice . Cap rouge federation (conclusion of the charter)
General Assemblies Every year the association organizes a General Assembly. It aims at creating links within the association. It is the occasion to meet up and to share the local initiatives and groups together representatives of France, Switzerland and Belgium. Local Events (Europe) Each community organizes locally meetings in connection with the communities of Africa e.g. a spaghetti supper, a special community meeting "Africa", etc.
* by praying for the communities of Arche in Africa * by opening in the development of relations of friendship and reciprocity with the communities of Arche in Africa * by helping to sell local craft produced by the communities of Arche in Africa * by making a commitment to give regular or occasional financial support (see page on gifts)
Spirituality of l'Arche How to give ? ActualitiesThe Arche (Ark) friends in Africa is an association for the sponsoring Arche communities in Africa. Our aims is to encourage exchanges between communities in Africa and Europe. A source of mutual enrichement. Arche friends in Afrika is part of Jean Vanier's Arche communities.(see useful links)
